Be a Mentor
There are ample opportunities for members of the TKGS Alumni and Youth Chapter to contribute to TKGS as mentors, facilitators, chaperones and speakers for various school events. As ‘big sisters’ to the future generations of TKGians, members of the TKGS Alumni and Youth Chapter are best positioned to provide guidance and their insights based on their experiences. The school welcomes TKGS Alumni and Youth Chapter members to contribute to various school programmes including:
Student Development Programmes
The school’s Student Development programmes actively engages youth alumni as speakers and mentors. These include mentoring teams in their service learning (Values in Action) projects, acting as facilitators for student leadership camps and on overseas fieldtrips, speaking with juniors and sharing their experiences at Career and Educational Guidance (ECG) events, Global Perspectives Wheels of Life talk series, etc. Many TKGS Alumni and Youth Chapter members also connect with their juniors through their former CCAs.
Academic Programmes
The school has academic programmes for various profiles of students. TKGS Alumni and Youth Chapter members can mentor their juniors through TKGS+ (Programme for Leadership, Understanding and Service), the school’s talent development programme. TKGS+ activities include bicultural exchange programmes, science research programmes, attachments to professionals in the aesthetics fields and national competitions. TKGS Alumni and Youth Chapter members can also mentor the academically weaker students through our regular academic support programmes.
